
Ky-mani is on the rise with the release of his untitled third album. On the 26th of February in 1976 Ky-mani was born to the famous Robert Nesta Marley and Jamaican table tennis champ, Anita Belnavis, in Falmouth, Jamaica. Ky-mani refers to an East African term meaning adventurous journeyer. And as an individual living in the spirit of his name every album, or trip, is an adventure. The musical journey began in 1999 when he released The Journey. He was an eclectic artist with a passion for music and was searching for his unique musical style. As of 2001 Many More Roads (Grammy-nominated) was a "traditional" reggae compilation was out, which revealed a more mature Ky-mani. Many More Roads and The Journey were well-received worldwide. This established Ky-Mani's standing as an artist of her own. Ky-Mani's music is a blend of roots reggae overlaid along with hip hop, R&B as well as contemporary jazz.
